“ This isn't really a grocery store, they have a small and somewhat sad couple of aisles of canned goods and veggies. But the restaurant is very good and the pastries are amazing! The grilled chicken meal is the best taste, quality, value I've had in GSO! The chicken is juicy and the grilled flavor comes out beautifully. The carne asada, which is arrechera, is very well seasoned. But the empanadas and other pastries have amazing croissant style doughs, flaky, buttery, pure delicious! This is easily my family's favorite spot so far ”

My husband had steak and lengua tacos. The location sell everything from fresh produce, meat, bakery and more. We also tried the Chicharron and guacamole before but came back this time to try their tacos. Also delicious. I seen the real coca-cola in the original bottle. Plenty of things to try to grab and go. They also have a small eating area. Service was fast and sweet. Yes we high recommend this location for so very good tacos and more. ”

“ The staff here are so accommodating! They will go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for. I wanted a pork roast for pernil and while they didn't know what pernil was, once I explained they offered to cut it for me from a whole pig! The chicharron is TO DIE FOR! My husband and I started tearing it apart and eating it in the car it was so good. You could make a meal out of it. Baked goods are fresh-made and very tasty. Highly recommend this place. Now I just need to find out when they have tamales because I am craving some and I am sure theirs are amazing. ”

“ This is about as authentic as you are going to get! I love the fresh baked bolillos from the delicious bakery, but have never gone wrong with any of the other pastry selections! There's a meat market, and a deli, and sandwiches! Service is quick and friendly, prices are great, and you can find authentic spices and food items in the market aisles. The bakery section is easy to navigate, grab a tray, some tongs, load up, and bring to the counter! ”

“ DELICIOUS!!!!! I'm visiting from out of town and it was seriously the best food I had! I got the torta de asada with everything on it. WOW it was so good I forgot to take a picture of it! Haha. We got tres leches cake from their panadería as dessert and it was amazing. We also got some pan dulce for the road. I wish I had one near my house I'd come all the time haha !! The service was quick and they were very nice. If you are in Greensboro El Mercadito is a must visit! ”

At the counter- they have a cooler full of hot homemade tortillas!!! Corn or flour. Get them!!! A nice man recommended the corn tortillas with Playero Crema Salvadora. I took his word- and he was not wrong!! So delicious. ”
